Jun 13, 2014  Hi all Today I Bought Microsoft Desktop 800 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse! But I have a Problem With (Microsoft® 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0) I Can't Install it On My Win7 64x Cause There is No Drivers For it at all!

Hello Blair, Well as promised here’s my update. As you know, I pretty much exhausted all my options and was compelled to format C: and start anew. I did notice after reinstalling windows 7 my PC started running much better than before and had that new car feel. I took the mouse back and swapped it out for a new one, the exact same model in fact. After installing the software and drivers I plugged in the USB Transceiver. Windows began to update with the hardware wizard and in very short order recognized the device and confirmed the installation. Virtually painless and without any difficulty whatsoever I did set my PC to NOT allow the USB ports to go into sleep mode as I am aware of an ongoing issue that Microsoft is working on concerning USB devices not responding properly to wake alarms.

It’s been a couple of weeks now and my mouse is still working like a dream. I’d go as far to say it’s the best mouse I ever owned and recommend it to those who are looking for a good wireless mouse. My issue is completely resolved and thank you again Blair for your assistance and guiding me in the right direction to a solution. 5 stars to you sir Be well. Hi, I would like to suggest you try the following steps to test the issue. Connect the mouse to another computer to verify the hardware is good.

Try a mouse you know is working to make sure that the port works. Check if the batteries are low; if so, please change some new batteries to check how it works. Plug the receiver to another port and see if the issue occurs.

Also you may check in Device Manager whether the device shows up as an “Unknown Device”. If yes, you may right-click on the device and select Uninstall. Once uninstalled, or if it was not listed, click on Action in the menu bar then click on Scan for hardware changes.
